Africa Day Festival Brings China-Africa Cultural Exchange to the Public
An Africa Day festival in Beijing used national showcases, performances and public activities to present the continent's diversity during the China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
African diplomatic missions in China organized the 2026 Africa Day cultural festival in Beijing, bringing diplomats, artists, partner organizations and the public together to celebrate the continent and encourage mutual understanding.
Country pavilions introduced history, tourism, traditional arts, creative industries and development achievements. Performances and hands-on activities offered visitors an accessible way to experience a wide range of African cultures.
Speakers noted that China-Africa ties depend not only on trade and projects but also on sustained cultural contact and friendship. Public festivals can create direct connections among young people, artists and local communities.
