Zero Tariffs Bring More African Flavors to Chinese Tables

Wine, pineapples, coffee and chilies are reaching broader consumer markets, while market opening encourages cooperation in processing, branding and supply chains.

Zero-tariff treatment has reduced the cost of bringing products such as South African wine, Beninese pineapples, Ethiopian coffee and Rwandan chilies to Chinese consumers.

The opportunity extends beyond import volumes by encouraging producers to improve processing, quality control, brands and logistics. More stable export channels can turn consumer demand into income across agricultural communities.
