Government, industry and international-organization representatives discussed digital inclusion, demonstration projects and emerging industries in Ethiopia, alongside a new ICT cooperation document.

China's Minister of Industry and Information Technology Li Lecheng led a delegation to Ethiopia for a seminar on China-Africa cooperation in digital and emerging industries and meetings with Ethiopian counterparts.

The Chinese side proposed stronger government dialogue, a shared digital-technology cooperation center and demonstration projects to improve digital inclusion, while connecting emerging-industry initiatives with Africa's industrialization priorities.

China and Ethiopia signed a memorandum of understanding on information and communications technology. The seminar also created a cross-sector forum for African ministers, telecommunications bodies and development organizations.
