China-Aided 300-Borehole Project Handed Over in Zimbabwe

Three hundred boreholes across four Zimbabwean provinces are providing safer, more reliable water for drought-affected communities and agricultural production.
The China-aided project was handed over after drilling 300 boreholes across communities in Midlands, Manicaland, Masvingo and Mashonaland East provinces.
Beyond easing household water shortages, the wells support farming and can reduce the risk of waterborne disease. Zimbabwean officials described the community-scale project as an important contribution to drought resilience.
