Chinese Embassy in Rwanda Holds China-Rwanda Youth Dialogue

On July 10, the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda held the China-Rwanda Youth Dialogue. Ambassador GAO Wenqi attended the event along with Mr. Virgile RWANYAGATARE, Director General in charge of Asia, Pacific and Middle East Affairs at theMinistry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Rwanda. In attendance were over 40 people, including youth representatives ofRwandan Patriotic Front, governmental agencies, military, academia, Chinese partners, and mainstream media.
In his remarks, Ambassador GAOspoke highly of the development of China-Rwanda relations, stating that China-Rwanda relations is a choice, rather than a coincidence. He emphasized that exchanges in governance, rooted in a shared people-centered philosophy, have been a significant highlight of bilateral relations. Both the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) have consistently advanced self-reform and self-governance, and their leadershipsarechosen by their respective histories and peoples. Ambassador GAO encouraged the youth of both countries to strengthen mutual learning and contribute further to bilateral ties, transforming the blueprint of global governance into reality.
RWANYAGATARE extended his congratulations on CPC’s 105th anniversary. He expressed high appreciation for the exchange and cooperation between the two ruling parties, noting that such ties have greatly promoted the development of Rwanda-China comprehensive strategic partnership. He encouraged the youth from both sides to enhance exchanges, deepen mutual understanding, and learn from one another to create shared prosperity.
